About The Author

I was born in Minneapolis and have lived in the state of Minnesota for all but the nine years that my family and I spent in the Boston area. I graduated from DeLaSalle High school in downtown Minneapolis and attended both Mankato State College and the University of Minnesota.

My career path began in 1967 at the First National Bank of Minneapolis, where I started as a loan collector and lender. I was promoted to the Bond Department Trading Desk in 1970 and I remained in the bond business as a trader and portfolio manager for forty years.

After a trip to the Mountain family hometown of Killeagh, Ireland in 2005, I became interested in writing and researching my family genealogy. My genealogy research gave me the idea for my first book, “The Saga of the Brothers Mountain,” which was published in 2014. The book received Honorable Mention Awards from the Los Angeles and Pacific Rim Book Festivals in 2015. Those awards inspired me to publish my second book in 2015, titled “William.” “William,” won an Honorable Mention award at the Hollywood Book Festival, also in 2015. I felt the Mountain family fictional story was not complete, so in 2016, I was compelled to write the final chapter in the trilogy, “WJ American Hero.”

After I completed the trilogy of the Mountain family, I continued to write other fictional tales. The titles are as follows, Padraig Murphy Semper Fi, Foster Lake Love Affair, Will Cobb, The One Arm Gunslinger, The Hunt for Kevin Hart, Mitchell Collins and The Legend of Annie Crow. All of these books will be available on my website in the near future. My website is (mwmountain.com.)
